2017 Summer Fencing Camp
Fencing Academy of Boston will hold sessions of all-day Fencing Camp for youths 8-14 this summer!
Summer Fencing Camp is a fun and active week of fencing exercises, games, skill-building, practice, and memory-making! Camp is an excellent experience for beginners to get involved in fencing and build skills quickly, and for intermediate and advanced fencers to step up their training in preparation for the 2017-2018 fencing competition season.
Camp is in session from 9am-4pm, Monday through Friday of the following weeks and registration is through askfred.net at the links below.
Summer Fencing Camp – Youth Fencing for all levels, beginner to experienced.
Pre-Season Competitive Saber Camp – A more intensive training experience for youth saber fencers preparing for the 2017-2018 fencing competition season.
Daily instruction includes fencing drills, footwork, bladework, coordination and agility training, fencing games, bouting practice, and a lot of fun. On Friday, fencers will compete in a tournament and celebrate with an ice cream party.
Fencers should wear a t-shirt, long athletic pants or fencing knickers, and rubber-soled shoes or sneakers. It is a good idea to bring an extra t-shirt and a sweatshirt as we are air-conditioned. Fencing equipment is provided for beginners, or your young fencer may use their own equipment.
12-1pm is lunch, time to take a break to eat and watch a video. Campers need to bring their own lunch, snacks, and beverage, or else bring lunch money and we can get from the local pizza place.
