Serhiy  Shaposhnykov –  Coach

Serhiy Shaposhnykov is a highly skilled and experienced fencing coach with a Bachelor’s degree in physical culture and sports, specializing in fencing coaching. He has worked in various coaching roles in Ukraine and Spain, including as the head coach and creator of Clube Esgrima Dinamo and Vershyna Fencing Club. Serhiy is a hardworking and friendly individual who can find common ground with students and parents alike.

Serhiy is a knowledgeable all-rounder who can fulfill his students’ needs. Serhiy has native proficiency in Ukrainian, and a professional working proficiency in Spanish, and full working proficiency in English. He has also mastered Spanish to a high level.

Serhiy’s notable students include Holovkina Sofia (bronze medal in team competition Ukrainian team at the European Championship, Croatia 2020), Melnychuk Elizaveta, and Kupovikh Irina (Members of the national team of Ukraine participant of the European and world championship, 2022.)

Accomplishments as Coach:

– Bachelor’s degree from Lviv University in physical culture and sports with a specialization in fencing coaching
– Proficiency in Ukrainian, Russian, Spanish, and English
– Title of national referee in all three sword categories
– Medical Sports License and Permit to carry out Sports Massages
– Head coach and creator of Clube Esgrima Dinamo and Vershyna Fencing Club
– Lots of experience in the organization of summer camps and fencing gatherings

– Notable students, including Holovkina Sofia (multiple champion and medalist of the championships of Ukraine cadets and juniors) and Melnychuk Elizaveta and Kupovikh Irina (members of the national team of Ukraine and multiple champions and medalists of the championships of Ukraine cadets and juniors)
– Holovkina Sofia’s sixth place in individual competitions and fifth place in team competitions for the 5 team of Ukraine European Championship Cadets Italy Foggia 2019, third place bronze medal in team competition Ukrainian team at the European Championship Croatia 2020, participant of three World championships Torun Poland 2019, Cairo Egypt 2021, Dubai Arab Emirates
